New Life Presbyterian Church is a church in the Phoenix Metro area that was founded 26 years ago. We are faithfully asking our Lord to send a full-time English Ministry Pastor / Education Department Director.

Job Summary

The English Ministry pastor is a full-time position that will entail the discipleship, preaching, and teaching of our English Ministry, among other pastoral duties. The individual must possess the initiative and shepherding heart needed to foster a growing ministry within a Korean immigrant church. The EM Pastor must be an individual with a high view of Scripture and can determine and deliver messages with sound doctrine. This individual must also have experience working with a congregation that ranges from college students to married couples with children. The EM Pastor must also exhibit the ability to succeed in a group environment, working closely with church eldership, deacons, and leaders. All pastoral duties will be carried out in English, but a working knowledge of Korean is preferred.

1. Qualification:

-Master of Divinity (M. Div) or equivalent
-Ordained in the Korean Presbyterian denomination
-Fluent in English. Korean language skills are preferred but not required.
-2 years of experience in English Ministry or similar adult ministry
-Passion for the next generation of the Korean-American church
-Eligible to work in the US

2. Responsibilities

-Weekly Sunday Service preaching
-Pastoral care and communication/visits with church members
-Counseling (general, premarital, and marital) as requested or needed
-Commit appropriate time for continuing education, personal growth, and spiritual feeding.
-Conduct Membership and Baptism/Confirmation classes
-Oversee all areas of ministry for the English congregation, including worship, missions, small groups, and the training and equipping of lay leaders for ministry
-Organize, implement, and maintain ministry programs designed to enhance the spiritual growth of the English Ministry members (such as Bible Studies, Small Groups, sub-ministries)
-Set and implement an English Ministry vision that is aligned with New Life Presbyterian Church’s vision
