Seeking Elementary-Level Children’s Minister

Position (Part-time)
New York Presbyterian Church seeks a pastor for Children’s ministry (2nd – 6th Graders)

Key Responsibilities
• To plan, prepare, and lead Sunday worship services and events.
• To select and develop curriculum for age-appropriate ministry education programs.
• To enlist, train, and oversee teachers and volunteers.
• To establish and conduct Awana program (weekend) with teachers and volunteers.
• To conduct parents counseling session.
• To plan and conduct an age-appropriate weekday program.
• To report the ministry education director for evaluation and development (monthly meeting).
• To oversee miscellaneous ministry related events as appropriate (i.e. VBS, Easter and Christmas special service, etc).

Qualification
• M. Div. (candidate or completed)
• Proficiency in English
• Teachable attitude towards the church leadership
• Prior children’s ministry experience (preferably in a Korea-American church context)

Preferred Qualification
• Korean language
• Experience in Awana program (2nd - 6th grade)
• Familiarity in audio-visual equipment

Compensation: $2,000-2,500/mo (according to the experience and quality of the candidate)

자격요건
• 개혁주의 신학 대학원의M. Div. 진행 중이거나 수료
• 영어로 원활한 소통과 설교 가능
• 교회 리더십의 결정과 방향성에 순응할 수 있는 자
• 어린이 사역 경력 (1년 이상)
