Title/Position: Shalom Church English Pastor/Minister
Works Closely with: English Ministry Families and Adults
Hours: Part-time
Shalom Church is a Korean-centric ministry in Fairfax Station, Virginia. We desire to be a welcoming church family that magnifies God through Gospel-transformed lives, grace-overflowing community, and a cross-cultural mission of building bridges with the primarily Korean speaking generation with the primarily English speaking generation.
We are currently seeing an English Ministry Pastor (ordained) or minister (unordained) who has a gift to preach the Word of God and a passion to activate Christian work amongst Korean American families, career adults, and youths.


Primary Responsibilities:
The English Ministry (EM) Pastor’s primary role will be to lead and shepherd the English-speaking families and adults. A secondary focus will be to serve the Korean speaking church leadership team. The EM Pastor will be part of Shalom Church leadership team and work with the staff under the guidance and direction of the Senior Pastor.
Teaching and Preaching: The EM Pastor will be the main regular preacher for the weekly preaching, will teach biblically and relevantly in the English service to equip parishioners for growing in Gospel-transformed lives. Knowledge of ways to lead praise worship for the younger English speaking generation preferred.
Family Ministry & Pastoral Counseling: Together with other pastoral staff, train and equip adults and families to live practical, God-honoring and Gospel-transformed lives.
Missions & Evangelism: Equip and motivate the English-speaking members to witness for Christ and serve the community in an intentional, culturally-relevant way. Mobilize people to support and participate in the cross-cultural mission and evangelism effort.
