Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry

Position: Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry(EM). The position is part time(flexible hours, but includes evenings and weekends for special events.).
Position purpose: to direct and lead programming for youth and EM college students. The pastor/director of Youth Ministry shall seek to foster Christian community building relationship with young people that strengthen their commitment to the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ.
The Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry shall:
1. Serve as the primary staff person relating to the Youth Ministry under the supervision of Senior Pastor.
2. Oversee the recruitment and training of adult volunteers to work with middle and high school age groups.
3. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for middle, high school age youth, and college students that promote community through fellowship, fun and faith development. Such activities might include musicals and dramatic presentations, small group Bible study, retreats and service projects.
4. Preach a sermon in the Youth Ministry worship service on Sunday.
5. Promote Christian service through age-appropriate service projects.
6. Work with other church directors to support and intra-Baptist Church Youth Group in witch youth leaders and youth work together to proclaim the gospel as traditionally understood by New Hope Baptist Church.
7. Develop small group Bible study materials that might be age-appropriate and best serves to promote spiritual maturity.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Bilingual and bicultural in English and Korean
2. Experience with you, college students, and family ministry, education or significant experience in English/youth ministry.
3. Good organizational/communication/leadership skills.
4. Graduate or student of a regionally or nationally accredited seminary.
Salary: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated salary range: $ 15,600-18,200(part time only), half time position; negotiable if serves both Youth and Young Adults group(College groups).

Position purpose: 영어권 중고등부 학생과 소수의 영어권 대학생들을 영적으로 이끌어가며, 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음의 성장과 헌신을 이끌어가길 원합니다.
The Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry shall:
1. 담임목사의 지도아래 중고등부 사역자로 섬깁니다.
2. 중고등부 학생들과 자원자들을 모집하며, 중고등부 사역 전체를 관장합니다.
3. 중고등부 학생과 영어권 청년부들의 나이대에 맞는 교회활동들을 관장하고, 친교와 성경공부, 수련회, 주일 예배 등을 계획하고 이끌어 갑니다.
4. 매 주일 중고등부 예배에 설교를 하고, 나이에 맞는 사역들을 계획합니다.
5. 인근에 있는 여러 침례교회와 초교파적인 중고등부 사역에 함께 협력합니다.
6. 중고등부 학생들의 나이에 맞는 영적 성숙을 위한 성경공부 교제 준비와 성경공부를 이끌어갑니다.
7. Half time으로 섬길 경우, 중고등부 사역외, 한어권 청년부(금요일, 주일) 모임을 이끌어 가며, 설교와 성경공부, 상담, 수련회 등을 계획하고 이끌어가게 됩니다.
Desired Qualifications:
1. 한국어와 영어 사역과 문화에 대한 이해와 한/영 설교가 가능해야 합니다.
2. 중고등부, 대학생 사역에 경험이 있으신 분이어야 합니다.
3. 중고등부와 청년부를 이끌어갈 수 있는 조직력과 소통력과 리더쉽을 가진 분이어야 합니다.
4. 미국 교육부가 인정한 신학대학 또는 신학대학원을 졸업한 분이어야 합니다.
Salary: 중고등부 사역만 Part time으로 사역할 경우, 사역경험과 교육에 따라 사례는 일년에 $ 15,600-18,200불이고, 한어청년부까지 감당할 경우 $ 24,000불 입니다.
